My role as account manager (interim):
Working international and reporting to the Director of Sales, my job as Account Manager Transport will be primary responsibility to identify and manage a current portfolio of accounts. Besides that I will secure net new business within various modes of transport however primarily focused on Truckload and logistic opportunities. As a subject matter expert of the value based sales process, the Account Manager is responsible for the prospecting, development and securing of net new business.
My responsibilities as account manager transport
• The primary responsibility of this position is to identify and secure business from competition
• Maintain growth of existing accounts and negotiate price and service packages
• Perform quarterly reviews with major accounts
• Provide accurate and timely information to ensure clients' needs are truly addressed
• Achieve daily, monthly, and quarterly sales goals
• Analyze the profitability of existing and potential business opportunities
• Monitor industry trends, competitors and market conditions
• Research company, cold call contacts & analyze customer stability/potential for each lead
• Network through customer structure to determine company goals and decision-makers
• Establish extensive customer relationships at executive levels and multi-departments

- Heavy load, semi's, low loaders and trucks up to 200 tons
- Transport of construction and earthmoving equipment up to 90 tons
- Transportation of building materials with crane lorries and forklift
- Transportation of bulky goods with mega trailers and volume combinations
- Transport of complete tautliner loads, pallet transport and cargo
- Transport of refrigeration and food with refrigerated trailers
- Transport of bulk goods
